If ingested, it may cause nausea, headache and dizziness. It’s advised to rinse the mouth with water but not to induce vomiting. In this case, always get medical assistance. If in contact with skin, remove contaminated clothing and wash affected area with large amounts of water. If in contact with eyes, it may cause irritation. In this case, wash with water or eye solution while gently lifting the eyelids. May be necessary to remove contact lenses.

It’s stable under normal conditions, but as vapours are heavier than air, meaning it could spread to the ground covering a large area, it must always be stored away from open flames or other sources of ignition, as well as strong oxidisers. It may form explosive peroxide mixtures. When putting out a fire, self-contained breathing apparatus must be worn.

Although not classed as hazardous for the environment, it may still cause serious damage if disposed of inadequately. It may always be disposed of according to the regulations established by local authorities.
