We are often asked what the lead times are on products purchased through chemicals.co.uk, or when the customer should expect to receive their order of chemicals. This is understandably important to know so that you can plan for someone to receive them and you have a timeframe for when you can start using the products.
How quickly will your chemicals be delivered?
We always aim to provide fast, efficient delivery. All our most popular chemicals are normally in stock, and 88% of orders placed before 2pm for products that are in stock are delivered the following day.
On the rare occasion that we don’t have the chemical you need in stock, we’ll start the manufacturing process and confirm a delivery date with you.
Our standard lead time for chemicals that we need to manufacture ranges between two to 10 days, depending on the complexity of the product. For example, we can normally deliver deionised water up to five days after an order is placed if we don’t have stock readily available, but a more complex chemical may take slightly longer.
In fact, almost 90% of orders are delivered next-day by ADR-approved couriers.
What happens when we receive your order
When we receive your order, it automatically registers on our database and our production team check whether it’s available. You’ll receive an emailed order confirmation with the expected delivery date for your product within six working hours.
All products are quality-checked and all batches are fully traceable according to procedures defined by the ISO 9001 Quality Management System. When it’s ready, your order is loaded onto our approved ADR courier system, where we can track your delivery until it arrives at your chosen destination.
